We need a true alternative to Stripe Checkout for SaaS.

It's 2025, payments have been a done deal for more than two decades.

For small SaaS businesses, Stripe Checkout is a great solution. It works well, it's easy to set up, has a lot of features, and is truly best in class.

But it's also almost the only option of its kind around (pure payment plays, not Merchant of Record services!). Having worked in payments, every month I see dozens of queries about Stripe alternatives, primarily from small SaaS founders - the group that's supposed to have it all worked out with Stripe.

Personally, I have faced issues with Stripe not working in certain markets + sometimes it feels like it has just gotten too big to do everything well - it's confusing.

So in the near future I'll be shipping what I hope will be a better alternative to Stripe Checkout & Billing.

We'll start with the low-hanging fruit, always stay competitive on price, and work progressively to create something that's just awesome to use and doesn't break your bank.
